Native to Central and South America the Conures have reputations for being noisy – mainly to gain attention from their owner.  

Purchasing a hand-reared young bird could help with it being much quieter.  They make excellent pets because of their affection and intelligence.

Sun Conures are considered to be one of the most beautiful of the Conure species. 

As babies Suns feather out mainly in green with wisps of yellow and orange mixed in the green on their heads.  As they mature their heads turn from speckled heads into bright yellow/orange heads.

Nanday Conures can be identified by their black heads and black beaks.  Their upper breast is blue and their thighs are red.
