Obviously the native land of
African Grays is Africa, in the tropical regions of Africa.
There are two species – the Congo
African Gray and the Timneh African Gray.
The Congo African Gray is the more common while the
Timneh are more confined to smaller areas in Africa. |

The reason many people choose African Grays as pets is because
they are so intrigued with their ability to imitate the human
voice.
Some African Grays are thought to have
cognitive skills equal to porpoises and primates where they can
count and recognize colors, shapes and objects. |
